Teslas supercharger ramp rate is impressive, but nowhere near the growth rate of their vehicle sales. Hope to see them increase the build rate much faster; this will not only ensure Tesla owners are covered but also secure Tesla superchargers as the de-facto standard for the US. The Government will then have no choice but to cooperate with Tesla rather than subsidize a competitive network, especially once Tesla opens their network to all EVs.

Agreed but I think the supercharger growth rate should be compared with the growth in Tesla's active fleet, not new vehicle sales. Growth in active fleet has increased ~5x since Q1'18 while # of superchargers has grown ~3.5x, so it's closer than it appears. The increase in charging rates over time also alleviates customer wait times, and new locations also have more stalls, so supercharger expansion has been fine all things considered. But that growth rate will need to accelerate as they expand to non-Tesla customers, to your point.
